The 1/4 top light cushion is perfect for trail or road running. I like the 1/4 top for trails to keep debris out and the thickness is perfect for how I size my shoes. I just finished a 6 hour race 42 miles in them and have no complaints.

Good socks for work
These socks are super comfortable! I'm excited to try them out in summer when I tend to want lower-rise socks. My feet sweat a little bit inside the socks but it's not a huge problem. I like how the socks do not catch an odor and I can wear them multiple times before I wash them.

My first experience with wool socks like these. Fit great. Very comfortable. Give feel of being protected and cushioned withing being bulky or too hot.
Good quality socks. One distinguishing feature is that the elastic cuff is just right: snug enough but isn't too constricting. Doesn't leave marks on skin. The "light cushion" model is ideal for hiking, even in summer weather.
I have had these socks for over 4 years and they have held up wonderfully. Cloudline customer service is also incredibly helpful and responsive. Bottom line is these are reliable socks that are also very comfy.
If you have never worn cloudline socks, then go buy you one pair and it definitely will not be your last. They are the best softest, most comfortable stay exactly the same washing after washing and if you do have an issue with one wrong size wrong color whatever they will take care of that issue in. 1 minute and you will have brand new ones at your door. In two days.

Perfect fit! Not too loose, not too tight! Right amount of cushion for every day wear and the Merino wool is odor free! Replacing all my other brand socks with CL!
Quality socks that are smooth and not itchy, so far this is my first merino socks and I love that there's no smell. Good for going to work and then to the gym without smelling awful, these will last you all day.

4 years ago I bought my 1st pair of Cloudline socks and my wife did not like how much I spent on socks.
I wear boots 5 day out of the week and live in Las Vegas. My feet got sweaty! But ever since I got my 1st pair of Cloudline socks. My feet have been so happy! Feet Don’t sweat and don’t stink!
I’m on my 2nd round of socks now. I emailed Cloudline and told them, my socks were worn down and had some holes. I gave them my receipts/proof of purchase and took pictures. They gave me a replacement pair for each pair of socks! And I got to pick out the new socks. I even got a pair for my wife to try.

I’m always leery to order anything that I found from being advertised on Facebook but I’m glad I took a chance on these socks. The running socks are just the right amount of cushion for hiking yet light enough that my feet aren’t too hot. They dry in no time and even on a four day hike they don’t stink. The price is nice too. All around great socks.

These are my . . . gee, I’ve lost track of how many pairs I have purchased and worn out over the years for trail running. They have been on my feet for many miles of training runs in nearby mountains and have raced with me in New Mexico and Colorado. And I just keep buying them. My feet are happy. Good gear.
These socks are very comfortable. There’s plenty of cushion to make walking and standing all day easy on your feet.
These socks are great and we’re perfect for all conditions on our recent trip to Kauai. Wet, hot, muddy they handled it all.
Great socks but they discontinued the Pacific Northwest Green color in all styles so I won't be buying any more socks.
These are excellent socks. Well made, comfortable and wear well. The colors they offer are basic, but go well with many outfits if you are wearing them for casual wear and not just running. I generally purchase multiple pairs as I really like them for 3 season wear.
