Where are Cloudline socks made?

Cloudline is based in Seattle, where we design and trail test socks in the wide range of conditions offered by the PNW. With coastal trails, temperate rainforest, glacial peaks, and desert plains close enough for day hikes we can't think of a better place to call home.

Every Cloudline sock is knit in Fort Payne, Alabama the original "Sock Capital of the World." While many socks are now made elsewhere, the best socks in the World are still made in Fort Payne.

How should Cloudline socks be washed?

Machine Wash at Home

Turn socks inside out to prevent pilling, wash in cold to warm, and tumble dry low.

Hand Wash in the Backcountry

Cloudline socks are designed for for multi-day trips and thru-hikes, and can be hand washed and air dried, thanks to quick drying merino wool.

We ship Monday - Friday and do our best to ship all orders within 1 business day or less. During peak times (for example the holiday season) orders can take up to 2 business days to ship.

Orders in the United States

Orders will usually arrive within 4 or less business days depending on service selected at checkout.

International Orders

How is your shipping carbon neutral?

We donate a portion of every sale to fund climate projects through EcoCart. Projects include replanting and preserving forests, green energy projects, composting, and more. Projects are located in not only the United States, but around the World, so no matter where you are ordering from the offset from your order can go to fund a project that protects the environment near you.

What do I do with the compostable shipping packaging my order came in?

We use compostable mailers and shipping labels so it's as easy as opening your new socks and tossing the packaging in your home or city compost bin.

A missing package can feel stressful, but no need to worry, our in-house team is here to make sure you get your order.

USPS advises that occasionally deliveries may mistakenly be marked delivered but not show up for another 24 hours.

If your order didn't arrive please reach out via our contact page and our Seattle based team will assist with finding your order and if needed get a replacement package sent out asap.
