What size should I get?

Women's sizes follow your US shoe size: Small fits 4 to 6.5, Medium fits 7 to 9.5, and Large fits 10 to 12.5. If you're between sizes, size down, since the merino and spandex blend stretches for a snug fit. If you have wide or high-volume feet, size up. See the full size guide.

Which cushion is best for running?

Ultralight has no cushion, just a thin knit, so it's the lightest sock we make. It's best for racing, hot-weather runs and snug, fast shoes. For a little protection underfoot on everyday runs, try our Light Cushion no-show. Our cushion guide compares the cushion levels.

Will they slip down into my shoe?

They're built to stay put. An anatomic heel pocket snugly cradles your heel, and a raised heel tab at the back keeps the sock in place mile after mile. Getting the right size helps too, since a sock that's too big is more likely to slide. On dusty trails, our 1/4 Top running socks add ankle coverage to keep grit out.

Will these help prevent blisters?

Fit matters more than thickness. Blisters come from friction and moisture, so a sock that stays put and doesn't crowd your shoe helps most. Merino wicks sweat to keep feet drier, and the thin ultralight knit leaves the most room in snug shoes. Try your running shoes on with the socks you'll wear.

How should I wash them?

Turn them inside out, machine wash cold or warm with like colors, and tumble dry on low to warm heat. Skip bleach and fabric softener, because softener can reduce wicking. Every sock is preshrunk, but high heat can still shrink wool over time. Full tips are in our washing guide.
