What size should I get?

Men's sizes follow your US shoe size: Small Youth 3 - 5.5, Medium fits 6 to 8.5, Large fits 9 to 11.5, and X-Large fits 12 to 14.5. If you're between sizes, size down, since the merino and spandex blend stretches for a snug fit. If you have wide or high-volume feet, size up. See the full size guide.

How much compression do these have?

They have 15 mmHg of moderate, graduated compression. They're snuggest at the ankle and ease up toward the calf, so they feel supportive without being restrictive. Ultralight is our thinnest, coolest compression sock. For a little padding underfoot, try our Light Cushion compression sock.

Can I wear them on a flight?

Yes. They're a favorite for travel. Moderate graduated compression helps legs feel less tired and swollen on long flights, drives and shifts on your feet, and the merino stays comfortable and fresh for hours. If you have a medical condition or a doctor has recommended a specific compression level, check with them first.

Should I wear them during activity or after?

Both work. Wear them on long hikes, runs and days on your feet for support, or put them on afterward to help tired legs recover.

How should I wash them?

Turn them inside out, machine wash cold or warm with like colors, and tumble dry on low to warm heat. Skip bleach and fabric softener, because softener can reduce wicking. Every sock is preshrunk, but high heat can still shrink wool over time. Full tips are in our washing guide.

Great - Would Buy Again

I got a large…wear a 10. 5 men’s shoe. Fits great. It hits right above the calf, and fits the foot well.

The fabric isn’t itchy, or have uncomfortable seams. The compression isn’t too tight, but tight enough that it feels like it’s helping.

The retro style is actually why I wanted to go with this company in the first place, and it didn’t disappoint.

I would like for them to make more retro styles.

I was a skeptic about the ability of merino wool to suppress smell. I also wear support hose every day as I have done for almost half a century. Not Comfortable

Not sure why you would want a compression sock putting pressure on a muscle in your leg versus coming all the way up like a medical compression sock. Cloudline does make compression socks that come all the way up like medical compression socks do. I ASSUMED all compression socks were the same length. When you look at the socks side by side you can see that this Retro style is shorter. Cloudline should show a side-by-side comparison. Also noticed the pics they use are inconsistent. One appears to show the sock near the bend in your knee and another further down the leg. I do not like the Retro style and could not wear them all day. The other style I could wear all day but they are not as comfortable as Darn Tough socks. Unfortunately, Darn tough does not make compression socks
